A personal note from Debbie to Journalists who are planning an interview:

Hi, I’m Debbie Ferns… I think every woman in America should shoot a gun! I was 45 before I shot a gun for the first time. Now, almost six years later, I compete in a variety of shooting sports (not hunting), have become a firearms instructor and wrote a book, Babes With Bullets. Women involved in firearms are NOT a fringe group, nor are we Dirty Harriets!

I organize handgun camps across the U.S. for hundreds of ladies, taught by professional women, most of whom are national and world handgun champions. Our goal is to encourage (not frighten) women into coming out to the gun range. At the end of our three day program campers use terms such as: “empowering", "educational", "new adventure", "more confident" and "enhanced personal security” to describe their experience.

For a little background… I have an MBA, am married with two daughters. My career, like many of the women coming to shooting sports, has always been corporate in nature.

Debbie would like to encourage journalists to join her at a Ladies Camp. She will make herself and her team of lady instructors available to be interviewed.
