Ladies Action Shooting Camp
Babes With Bullets... Women Having Fun With Guns
It’s not just a book, it’s a series of “ladies only” action pistol handgun camps available for novice, intermediate and advanced shooters. From ladies who have never held a gun before to those who participate in Cowboy Action, IPSC, IDPA, Bullseye or Trap & Skeet, these camps have something to offer ladies of all skill levels.

“I came to camp more anti-gun, then pro-gun. I never thought I would learn so much about guns and how to use them safely so fast! During the camp I went from being afraid of guns to being in control. What a great experience!” Program Director - ESPN Outdoors

Who Said Camp Was Just For Kids?
The age span of our campers is from 25 to 70 years old, with a desire to try a new adventure as their common ground. Kay Clark-Miculek, a many time national and world handgun champion, is the founder and head instructor. Assisting her are Lisa Munson, Judy Woolley, Sheila Brey, and Julie Goloski. Each of these senior instructors holds a variety olding a variety of handgun championships to their credit. Debbie Ferns, author of Babes with Bullets, is the camp organizer.
Kudos to Smith & Wesson
Smith & Wesson has been our camp sponsor since 2004. Their commitment to underwriting our camps has been outstanding!
More Than Just A Camp
Consider these 3 day "immersion" camps as part gun education, part pajama party and 100% adventure!
Make new friends from across the U.S. or bring your gal pals and make some new memories together. In the past, camps have been as far east as Springfield (MA) and as far west as Burbank, CA. We are always looking for new locations with a suitable range and accommodations. It only takes a minimum of 10 campers to initiate a camp in your area. If you think you have the right location and some interested gals then contact Debbie via email.
What to Expect
Campers gather the first afternoon at the range, with a safety briefing starting around 2:00 pm. There is no shooting on this first afternoon and by 5:00 pm we head off to our host lodge (sometimes we use condos, sometimes a few rental houses.) That first evening Kay introduces her staff and campers introduce themselves. Campers settle in, are encouraged to be well rested as the next morning starts an awesome, three-day, intensive learning curve. YI - camp ends early afternoon of the 3rd day. Campers can elect to leave from the airport yet that day or we can take them to an airport hotel if they elect to stay until the next morning.
On average, we shoot 1,000 rounds (bullets) at each camp. Typically 200 rounds of .22 ammo is used and then another 700 to 800 rounds of .9mm ammo (or whatever ammo you use if you have your own gun.) If you don’t own your own firearm yet then don’t fret as we offer “loans” of appropriate .9mm ladies guns, offered through Smith & Wesson. We also have "loaner" holsters. While at camp you’ll have the opportunity to test a wide variety of handguns to find the right fit for you so don't run out before camp and buy a gun. Guns are like blue jeans, you have to try on several to find one that fits you!
Upcoming Camps
Every year camps fill up faster and faster, usually 6 to 9 months in advance. The best way to find out about upcoming camps is to frequently check back at Kay's website at www.Bang-Inc.com . That website has on-line applications and you can pay by credit card or elect to send a check. Please note that if a check is not received after 30 days of application your camp enrollment will be deleted. A spot for camp cannot be held without a deposit. Kay offers a very generous policy to transfer from one camp to another. (After you transfer two times from camps you then elect to come to the third camp or you lose your deposit.)
How to Sign Up
An application for camp and more information can be found by emailing Debbie or by going to the website of head instructor, Kay Clark-Miculek at www.Bang-Inc.com
