Ladies' Adventure Camp Experience

Join our ladies 7th annual hunt at Hawks Double Mountain Ranch (HDMR) outside of Rotan, Texas, where we have a 26,000 acre high fence ranch at our disposal!  Your choice if you want to participate in the hunt utilizing one of the ranches many blinds or if you prefer a “spot and stalk”. BTW ...this is a rifle hunt and not setup for archery.  The cost for the hunt is $900 per person with an additional $100 per hog and $150 per whitetail doe paid directly to the ranch.

 

This hunt is perfect for the novice gal (as well as those who have hunted in the past) with everything provided for them including a rifle, ammo and mentor; all aimed at a successful hunt with a variety of hunting blinds provided throughout the ranch. For the "non-resident", no tag is needed to hunt hogs in Texas. There is a variety of exotic game available at HDMR since they are a high-fence operation.  Pricing for the exotic game such as Oryx or Bison is also available with arrangements and fees paid directly to the ranch which can be arranged through camp director, Deb Ferns. A license is required to hunt white tail doe and exotics. 

 

The lodge accommodations are very nice with spacious bunk style housing and several full bathrooms. (If you prefer a private cabin off the lodge that is available at an additional charge paid directly to the ranch.) The food is plentiful with wild game served for dinner.  Breakfast and lunch are more casual though again no one goes hungry!

 

There is a limit of 7 spots for this hunt.  FYI - If you haven’t gotten your hunting education card, now is the right time to do it and many states are offering online courses plus the card is transferrable to hunt in any state and valid for your entire life!  We’ll arrive at the Rotan Dairy Queen at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 9th, and caravan the 30 minutes back to the ranch. Hunting days are Friday and Saturday with a departure on Sunday morning, February 12th.
